Prediction Contest: JMU vs. New Hampshire
After a hard fought victory over Stony Brook, the Dukes will hit the road to play the New Hampshire Wildcats in Durham, NH. It’s traditionally one of the more difficult road trips in CAA Football. The conference’s Preseason Player of the Year, QB Trevor Knight, is back from injury and playing great for the Cats. He and his teammates stomped Villanova 34-0 last time out. Despite their 2-6 record, they should be a very tough match-up for the Dukes. But we want to know how you think the game will play out. Leave a comment below with your prediction. The person who comes closest to nailing it (winner & score) will get to write a guest post. That’s it. Go Dukes!
30-24 Dukes
The offense shows some action we haven’t seen in a while in a hard fought game greatly impacted by 2-3 big plays. One on the defensive side of the ball.
Go Dukes!
23-10 good guys prevail.
20-13 JMU.
Only tougher road trip is to Orono.

New Hampshire is in the unfamiliar spoiler role after 14 straight years in the playoffs. It looked like their team should have been much better than 2-6 with so many returning starters but their offense has been poor and much of that is due to QB injury. However, Knight hasn’t been very good when healthy either.
The Dukes have an edge on special teams and face yet another CAA team with poor kicking (4-9 on the year).

Where is that Dukes team that gave NC state all they could handle at the beginning of the season? Concern has to be that for whatever reason the Dukes aren’t coming out with that same intensity n desire and now are struggling when they should be winning convincingly each and every week. Please, the talent is there and this game should not have to be mentioned as being close!! I mean really, come on Dukes you could have actually beaten State at there home field at the beginning of the season! Seniors step up and let’s get back desire and motivated to play up to the teams potential! Nooch in that game looked amazing.. where has that gone to? The talent is there… start showing it on the field as this game should be a blow out.. get on them early and don’t let up.. Dukes 47/10
Tough game this week again.
