Prediction Contest: JMU vs. Chattanooga
Coach Cignetti and the Dukes go on the road this weekend to the site of the 2004 championship game. This time it’s not for a title, but instead for a game against Chattanooga out of the Southern Conference. It should be a step in competition after back to back games against completely overmatched teams.
Like we do for each game, we’re running a predictions contest. It’s simple. Leave a comment below letting us know who you think will win the game and what the score will be. The person who comes closest to nailing it (winner & score) will get to write a guest post. That’s it. Now give us your predictions and Go Dukes!

I was tempted to go with a repeat score of 31-21 on the same field as 15 years ago, but I don’t think the Mocs can score that much without some defensive or special teams TD’s.
One thing is for certain, With a fieldturf surface we will not see one square foot chunks of sod coming up every play.
After dissecting the lyrics of the smash hit “Chattanooga Choo-Choo,” I think I’ve cracked the code. “Track 29” alludes to the train tracks that bisect JMU’s campus. “Quarter to 4” signifies when the winning team will enter the stadium. And “8 to the bar” signifies how many points UTC will have when they hit the bars that night.
JMU 29 – UTC 8

33-17 Dukes. Lots of field goals as the offense bogs down in the red zone.
