The JMUSB Entry in the CAA Bloggers Poll

Last week we were fortunate to be invited to vote in the CAA Bloggers Poll. The poll ranks the CAA basketball teams from 1 to 12 with the results posted to VCURamNation.com each week. The voting panel is made up of a number of CAA hoops experts and well respected bloggers from around the league. And us apparently. You can view this week’s poll results here. To the surprise of absolutely nobody, VCU earned the top spot in large part due to an impressive blowout victory over Richmond. Our Dukes ended up in the 4 slot.
We really couldn’t be more excited to be a part of this. Each week during the season, we’re going to post a link to the poll results and also post our entry. Sometimes we might feel the need to explain logic and other times we’ll just post our list alone. We encourage you to weigh in with your opinions on our rankings in the comments here, and on the overall results over at VCU Ram Nation. Without further ado, our entry for this week is below.
1. VCU
2. Georgia State
3. George Mason
4. ODU
5. JMU
6. Drexel
7. Northeastern
8. Delaware
9. UNCW
10. Hofstra
11. W&M
12. Towson
This week’s voting panel consists of Michael Litos of CAAHoops.com and author of “Cinderella: Inside the Rise of Mid-Major College Basketball”, Brian Mull of Wilmington’s Star News Online, Jerry Beach of the Hofstra blog Defiantly Dutch, Ryan Kish of GMUHoops.com, Rob Russell of William & Mary’s Gheorghe: The Blog, Ben Moore of PantherTalk.com, Joseph Suhoski  of ODU blog VBR Productions,  Mike Brodsky who provides freelance coverage of Northeastern, Matthew Schlissel of TowsonTigers.com, and Mat Shelton of VCURamNation.com. Do yourself a favor and bookmark all those sites so you can keep up with the best mid-major basketball league in the country.
