JMU Alum Wins Big at the Superbowl

The commercial above not only was one of the winners of Doritos Crash the Superbowl video contest, it was picked by Ad Meter as the top spot during Super Bowl XLVI. Because of that, the video’s creator won $1 million to go along with the $25,000 already awarded for being selected a finalist in the Doritos contest. In addition, he was guaranteed the right to work on a future Doritos project with Andy Samberg and the rest of The Lonely Island. And the creator was none other than Jonathan Friedman, a JMU alum from the class of 1994. The actor in the ad was Derek Leonidoff, was also a Duke from 1997. Congrats to both Jonathan and Derek. And if either one of them are looking for something to splurge on, we suggest Bridgeforth club seats.

    Awesome!

Now if only he’d been able to work Adriana Lima into the spot……. Just a suggestion.
