Leaks of all sorts have been big news recently. And while this tweet from the JMU Pep Band, might not have caused the same sort of social media frenzy that the Yeezus news did, it definitely had us grinning from ear to ear. Because it’s finally happening. The MRDs are working on an arrangement of Start Wearing Purple for the upcoming football season. That is all.

I am very excited for the MRDs to play this. I am a former MRD and I have been nothing but disappointed with the halftime shows and ESPECIALLY the stand tunes played. They have all this time and they learn 2-3 stand tunes and play them OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND IT IS STILL STUCK IN MY HEAD. They are good songs, but WAY overplayed. last year they played that god awful West Side Story halftime show EVERY game. I fthink my dislike or it was because they played it WAY too much. I am sorry for the rant, but it is shameful as an MRD alum to see what has been going on since I left and we are very excited to hear something new in the stands this upcoming year…especially if MM and the boys don’t have it together again.
