Fan Confidence Poll: Week 5
[polldaddy poll=8325937]JMU dropped its first CAA game on the road to a dangerous Villanova team. There were signs for optimism and further evidence that the defense needs work. It was a tough loss, but there’s plenty of football left to play. Last week only 55% of voters indicated that the Dukes would make the playoffs. Will things change this week? Vote in the poll and share your thoughts below.
As of now, 50-50.. Not surprising, but after the Delaware game, we will have a good idea of whether we actually will or not. This is a big week for the team. We keep hearing this is a young team and this is a new coach, but we need to at least make the playoffs. I don’t think it is unrealistic to expect this..
Well Said Scott and yes, this is a HUGE game for what it portends the rest of the way.
Keep in mind 24 teams will make the playoffs this year. JMU will go 8-4 and get in.
I like the way you-all think. I’m hoping for a strong showing on Saturday.

Agree with MadGrad…. it’s really hard to miss a 24 team playoff field.
2-2…..right on track for “going 6-6 by just getting out the bed everyday”.
If we can get into the 24, I still believe we can beat anybody.
I think the outcome of the UD game will be telling if JMU makes the playoffs — JMU wins and we should make playoffs with remaining schedule.
And I do agree if you miss a 24 team FCS playoff and you had a disappointing season I don’t care how young, new staff, etc….that is my expectation each year to make the playoffs.
