Prediction Contest: JMU vs. Villanova

CUDkpMqUwAA7GY0It’s time for our last prediction contest of the regular season. JMU and Villanova face off this Saturday in Bridgeforth Stadium. When it was announced, many people thought this game would feature the two front runners for the Payton Award trying to lead their team to a CAA title. With Vad Lee and John Robertson both injured, it will not. But it’s still a huge game with playoff implications. And we want to know who you think will win. Leave a comment below with your prediction. The person who comes closest to nailing it (winner & score) will get to write a guest post. That’s it. Go Dukes! Keep Rootin!

I hope those horrible white helmets with the purple M don’t make any further appearances. Bring on the purple or gold!

nova wins easily — 34 -17, cats have more to play for and JMU is on the decline. If the Dukes make the playoff field (they should not, but might) it will be another one and done playoff experience.

the satin helmets aren’t as awful as the white junk they were wearing — maybe if they put as much energy into their defense as they do their headgear the Dukes could be a legitimate playoff threat. just sayin’

Another cardiac game. I flipped a coin and the Dukes win !
Plus it’s a noon game and it’s a home game- so edge to the Dukes. Madison: 23 / (T) alley cats: 22 (2pt conversion).

Offense rebounds. Defense is good enough. After the game the other head coach has to say something like, man they were pretty good, even without Vad Lee. We get 9 wins and a seed.

    JMU – 45
    villy – 31

edit to my original pick bc I didn’t notice Lou’s pick. Changing mine to 48-28. Because we are going to ball out this weekend. #WIT9 #STAD #anythingelsethecoachingstaffusestolookcoolonsocialmedia

You know, if it weren’t for Delaware punting the ball six yards and the JMU offense self-resurrecting for all of 30 seconds, this team would be 7-3 with a loss to a den of chickens. Last week was essentially a loss against a pretty average UD team. Not sure why everyone seems so high on the Dukes when they’re facing a desperate, beat-up Nova team with their backs against the wall. So to save us all, I’ll go for the jinx prediction —

    Cats 31
    Dukes 21
