Predictions Contest: JMU vs. UNH

KhalidThe Dukes go on the road this weekend for a tough road game at New Hampshire. It’s going to be JMU’s toughest CAA test thus far. New Hampshire is also 3-0 in league play and have made the playoffs for about the last 27 years (all numbers approximate). This is a very hard, but winnable game. And we’d like to know what you think about it. Leave a comment letting us know who you think will win and what the score will be. The person who comes closest to nailing it (winner & score) will get to write a guest post. That’s it.

Go Dukes!

Keep Rootin!

Vegas has the Dukes as an eight point favorite. I think the Dukes win but don’t cover in a shootout.

21-16 JMU (because it’s my favorite final score EVER). I was there when we beat VT on “free tickets (from VT fan) because nobody cares”. You should have seen how quickly the tailgates packed-up after game. Random Dukes Fans high-fiving and yelling GO DUKES all over VT campus. Priceless. I may just pick 21-16 EVERY week for fun.

    42-30 DUKES!!!!

I’ll be the bad guy who takes the happiness hedge. JMU hasn’t won at UNH in forever. New Hampshire’s defense hasn’t exactly been tested yet — three CAA wins against Rhode Island, Elon, and William & Mary — but they’ve got good numbers, and I do think they play well enough to win. Hope I’m wrong, but this feels like one of those on-the-road-against-a-less-talented-team losses where, a month from now, we look back and realize we got way better because of it.

This reminds me of 2006, when both teams where hyped up. JMU went to NH and absolutely smacked them in the mouth! I predict a similar outcome like the game 10 years ago. NH is soft, like 24 carrot ****** (MM quote)!!! Their passing defense is almost last in the CAA, I don’t care what there rush defense is because they are not stopping us. My prediction is a big win for JMU. Let’s go!
