Prediction Contest: JMU vs. Elon
The regular season finale is this Saturday at Bridgeforth Stadium. JMU welcomes Elon to town for a Senior Day battle. Elon, as your well aware, is not a good football team. But the Dukes are coming off a hugely emotional win and will likely be without QB Bryan Schor. Freshman Cole Johnson will probably be behind center in his first start. So it’s a game to watch for many reasons. Barring any shenanigans, a win should lock up a top 4 playoff seed for the Dukes. That’s where JMU sits in the current seeding. Anyway, we’d like to know how you think the game will play out. Leave a comment with your prediction for Saturday. Think the offense will struggle w/o Schor so JMU wins 27-10. Friend of mine in H’burg said last night’s local news there reported Schor fell hard on his left non-throwing shoulder but it was not a broken collarbone. Not sure of That is correct but she said that’s what was reported. She said it was a game time decision whether he’d play Saturday but would be back for the playoffs. I would think they’d hold him out as precaution. Go Dukes.

I’m still more than a little amused that Elon scheduled us for homecoming last year. Of course, their stadium became Bridgeforth South and we rolled. If anyone is looking at road games to go to next year, I’d put Elon on there. Nice campus, very nice stadium, good fans, easy to get to.

Even with Schor out, I think our running game is just too much for Elon. I think they can score a couple of garbage time touchdowns against our second string, but I don’t see the end result ever being in doubt.
