The Dukes have earned a matchup on the road with the 5 time defending FCS National Champion North Dakota State University Bison. A tall order for sure, but damn if isn’t cool. NDSU is a bit of dynasty. The Bison have rattled off 22 straight postseason wins at home. They ain’t no joke. But JMU ain’t scared. At all. And on paper, this is looking like one hello a matchup. I’m going for 3 prediction wins in a season which as far as I’m concerned is a world record. 42 to 28 JMU. I don’t recall being this excited for a sports game ever. I think the road tests that JMU has had this year will make a big difference. Add that to the fact that we can win on both sides of the ball.
I’m going to be stupidly optimistic.

I have been questioning my prediction on this game since Saturday. However, I keep coming back to the same result so why fight it? I can’t help but think that on a fast-track indoors that the ultra accurate Schor will be in heaven with nothing but defenders to fight. The best crew of receivers in the nation will run wild and the CAA first-team running back will bash, and bash, before breaking a couple long runs. Pair that with the D playing at or close to their full potential and the undeniable best special teams in the nation and I see a convincing Dukes win. Final = 45 – 31 DUKES!
If I was playing against JMU, my strategy would be to stuff the run on defense, pound the rock on offense, and keep Schor on the sideline. NDSU has a top 10 rushing offense, and everyone we’ve played so far has been pass-happy except Villanova, who had some key injuries.
