Gameday: JMU vs. New Hampshire

Get up, because it’s GAMEDAY! And it’s a Homecoming Gameday at that. The Dukes welcome our old friends the New Hampshire Wildcats to the ‘burg today for a match-up of two of the CAA’s top teams. JMU is looking for its 20th straight win. UNH is looking to bolster its resume to return to the playoffs for the umpteenth straight year. And the Wildcats will probably have revenge on their minds after the way their last visit to Bridgeforth played out. It’s time to Lock the Damn Gates!

Go Dukes!

Keep Rootin!

    GOOD:
Harry O’Kelly, Coach Trott, Entire defense

    BAD:
Gold Helmets/White pants for a Homecoming PURPLE OUT
Half empty stadium for 2nd half of Homecoming game

    UGLY:
Ineffective Offensive play & coaching in the 2nd half.
(Perhaps the offense wanted to leave with the student body after halftime?)

I’ll take an ugly win. But, I thought that the offense of the defending FCS National Champions would come together & execute better for their sold out Homecoming game crowd (well, at least for 3 quarters).

I’m not sure if the offensive output & execution I saw yesterday will be enough against Richmond in 2 weeks.
I know it won’t be enough to beat a NDSU or a South Dakota.
