CAA Championship Gameday: Dukes vs. Phoenix, Phoenixes, Phonecians
Alright Dukes fans. Admit it, we all thought this was a lay up when the schedule came out. Nothing more than a tune up before the playoffs. Funny how things change. Now the Dukes face an Elon team that can capture a share of a the CAA title with a win. But that’s not gonna happen, right? A win for the good guys would mean an undefeated CAA regular season and another CAA championship. Nothing more to say. It’s time to Lock the Damn Gates!

I challenge all JMU fans today to live in the moment. An undefeated season and an outright conference championship doesn’t happen often. Enjoy today for today. Don’t think about the playoffs until tonight. Stay in the moment and enjoy this ride. Appreciate what we are witnessing. I guarantee that is what the team and coaches will be doing.

Hopefully our OC watched the film from last week and noticed that we cannot block 7 guys with only 6.
Either bring in another blocker, or Schor has to be a running threat too.
Noticed Schor is making most of his reads pre-snap. In other words, he decides who he’s throwing to before the play starts rather than work through his progressions and finding the open man. There have been a number of wide-open receivers that he hasn’t even looked at.
LOVED the up-tempo drive there. I don’t think we can overpower teams like we did last year, so picking up the pace and not letting their defense get set up gives us a little edge. Great run by Schor to finish off the drive.
That drive at the end of the first half was like a throwback. Just beautiful.
@2004Duke completely agree with you about the presnap reads. It was apparent on the incomplete fade to Stapleton in the endzone. Overall though, the offense has been much better.
Gotta say, I’m bummed they allowed that FG. You know your defense is great when that’s the only thing to be “let down” about.

Just looking at some of the many bracket projections. I really hope we don’t have another rematch in the first round. I’m excited to see some teams we would otherwise never see.
