Our CAA Bloggers Poll Ballot

We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. We certainly did and we are still laying low and catching up on some much needed quality time with family and friends. The CAA Bloggers Poll takes no holidays though and we had to turn in our ballot this morning. The full results of the poll will be posted to VCU Ram Nation later this week. Here is our ballot. We based the vote on all the games between last Monday and yesterday.

1. VCU – Class of the CAA right now and it’s not even close.
2. GA State – Question the schedule if you must, but they’ve won 9 straight.
3. Drexel – The preseason favorite is showing signs of getting it together.
4. JMU – Comfortably defeated the Citadel and held on to beat GW on the road.
5. George Mason – Hoping the return of Andre Cornelius can make up for the addition of Paul Hewitt.
6. ODU – Put the brakes on a 3 game skid with a win over VMI. Still struggling to find their game.
7. Delaware – Some talent on the roster, but if you lose to Howard you don’t crack the top half of our bracket.
8. Hofstra – Beat up on a weak Colgate team, but nobody on the roster will make fans forget Charles Jenkins.
9. UNCW – Lost to Wake, but Adam Smith scored 32 and broke Brett Blizzard’s UNCW freshman record in the process.
10. Northeastern – Haven’t won a game in a month.
11. W&M – The way the Tribe plays, they’re actually even less intimidating than they look.
12. Towson – After the football team’s breakout year, the hoops squad is doing its best to secure its spot in the basement.
