Gameday Open Thread: JMU vs CCSU
Here we go folks. The season kicks-off in a few hours. Here’s an open thread for anyone not lucky enough to be in the ‘burg to comment before, during, and after the game. Hopefully we’ll see a bunch of you at the game. If not, enjoy it on Madizone. Go Dukes!
Wife works this weekend, so I’m at home with the kids. I actually feel like a criminal for not being at the game today.
BTW… a little recon on TV today:
Villanova is damn good. They run the read option all over the field. Their defense is physical. They are a very athletic team. They do have a tendancy to call some absolutely idiotic plays on offense, though (See: Madison, James. Circa 2009-2012).
Bill & Gary is beating WVU right now, but it looks like it is really a function of WVU sucking and being totally overrated. The tribe is very soft on the O and D lines. The QB is ok, and anyone with “McBride” on their shirt is a very good player.
Towson Looked really good against UConn. West is legit. Towson looked exactly the same as last year…no better or no worse. UConn isn’t very good.
If we look like anything remotely close to last season, the prediction of 5th in the CAA may be pretty accurate. O’Cain better light it up tonight with the Ginja Ninja.
Can’t believe I’m not at this!! I’ll be trying to find a stream of it to watch out here in DC. Everybody go wild today – show the freshmen how we do it at JMU!
Even though I know its a completely different WVU team than we faced last year, I’ll be disappointed if W&M beats em.

We will be watching all the way down in Georgia. Thank God for Madizone! I’ve got my JMU beer mug ready to be overflowing, JMU blanket on the back of the couch and even my dogs will be decked out in gear.
So W&M and Nova both CHOKED.
If we try to run the ball 100 times against Nova, we are going to get destroyed. We have to have a legit passing game to have a chance against them.
W&M should have beaten WVU. Jimmy-E turtled up in the 4th Q and called plays like a coward.

Anyone else having trouble with Madizone video? At first it wouldn’t connect, then it was only the team logos, and now its just constantly loading. I’m hoping its only because so many people are getting online at once and it will work itself out.
I’m having same problem with Madizone…hope it works itself out.
Glad to know its not UVerse Internet. I guess for now it’s old school radio. Maybe I’ll get my knife and whittle while I listen.

Really? I thought the black jerseys were SWEET.
I thought the were to at first. But the more and more I thought on it I decided I prefer when a school sticks to its colors. The Royal Purple of JMU should be its trademark and we shouldn’t try to get into a Uniform (dis)Fashion Contest like Oregon. I prefer the jersey you won a National Championship in.
