bridgeforth stadium crowdIt’s time for the prediction contest everyone. The rules are simple, let us know in the comments who you think will win the JMU vs. Richmond game and what the final score will be. The person who comes closest to predicting it correctly (winner & score) gets to write a guest post.

If JMU decides to play in the 3rd Qtr this week:
    JMU 28
    UR 17

If JMU takes the 3rd Qtr off again:
    JMU 21
    UR 28

I realize submitting two scores eliminates me from the potential guest blog but this 3rd QTR hangover that I think we have seen in every game this season is getting old. The UR game would be a fine time to have that issue fixed.

    Ticks – 24
    Dukes – 20

    Spiders 34 – 21.

  16. Bhagavan / Oct 10 2013

    24-21 JMU

  17. Cory / Oct 10 2013

JMU averages 31.833 on offense and give up 19.667 per game.
UR averages 23.200 on offense and give up 16.800 per game.

When adjusting for FBS and throwaway games (i.e. teams that CAA members shouldn’t even play unless they have to because its a conference game):

JMU averages 31.000 on offense and give up 21.000 per game.
UR averages 25.500 on offense and give up 24.500 per game.

Therefore JMU should score 27.75 and give up 23.25 to UR.

Sorry guys but my friends have “won” 5 of the last 16 prediction contests and I’m the one that is “supposed” to know something about football so I’m getting desperate.

So my prediction is JMU – 28, UR – 23.

    $1 Bob

In the sole interest of trying to be different than the others I’ll go with 13-10 Dukes even though I think there will be more scoring.

  28. SunChase / Oct 12 2013

Richmond is going to score on us. We’re playing De’Andre Smith at corner this weekend.

JMU 38, UR 28. Bonus points if we break a UR punter’s leg for the second time in five years.
