Yes, the Dukes’ loss to Maryland was disappointing. Terribly disappointing even. But JMU has a chance to get back on track with a road game at Lehigh Saturday. Alright y’all, I have been waiting on my chance to weigh in on some JMU football. I think that while our loss at Maryland was terrible and demoralizing, I believe it was a learning experience for our new staff and the players who have assumed new roles. I think that JMU will edge in a win, with a final score of 24-21.

I think some of the people here are completely downplaying how good Lehigh is. It’s probably going to be a close game, if both teams play anything like the last few seasons. Lehigh has consistently been near the top of the FCS these past few years, and could outplay JMU all of those seasons. But, I believe that JMU could have the slight advantage, seeing as it is Lehigh’s first game, and they might need to work out a few issues (like we did). 30-24 JMU.
People aren’t downplaying Lehigh. Lehigh is rebuilding this year and doesn’t have many returning starters.

There’s plenty to be improved in one week, and I don’t know that it all gets fixed in seven days for a road game against a team that historically puts up a good fight. I still think the Dukes are 1-3 after four games. Please, please someone prove me wrong.

Just listened to the Lehigh show with the Coach on their website. they are going to have twelve new starters of the first 22, four of which are in the secondary. they have a new quarterback who is a sophomore and has never started. However if you look at the website in practice he looks big and looks to have a good arm. I would think that the Dukes should be able to win, especially since they want that bad taste out of their mouths. I think it will be 33-10 Dukes. If they DON’T win I think we have something to worry about.

I don’t think I’m going to be predicting many made FGs for the Dukes this year.
You guys forget that this team goes fast which means more possessions for both teams. This new offensive approach help MD get 52 last week along with many other well documented things. I think the offense is going to look much, much better this week. Vad is going to run more. Tapley will destroy the Lehigh secondary. Hill will run over the young linebackers. Our defense will control their offense. Dukes win this one in a run away.
