This Guy Loves D-Hall So Much He Wrote a Rap Song About It

Do you love D-hall? Of course you do. We do too. Todd and I would probably fall into the “slightly obsessed” category when it comes to JMU’s original dining hall. We confess to having spent an inordinate amount of time reminiscing about the meals we loved and laughs we shared in good ol’ Gibbons. Roast turkey and mashed potatoes, wing dings, Mardi Gras night, make your own stir fry, the list goes on and on. We may or may not have even contemplated throwing a JMUSB D-Hall Farewell Party when we heard D-Hall was being torn down. We’ve never written a rap song about it though. But this guy Paddy Stax did. And it’s epic. Check it out and enjoy while we continue to scour the internet for a double LP indie rock concept album about Dour Four Subs.

    Several points:

    1) D-hall looks amazing now compared to how it used to look back in the day.
    2) This dude is really white
    3) Props to him having huge balls putting this out
    4) I once ate nothing but Wing Dings for 10 days straight. Still salivate over them damn D-hall Wing Dings
    5) What building is he standing on top of?
    6) The bathrooms in the bottom on D-hall were some of the most used & abused on campus back in the day. Sometimes, you’d get those d-hall blues about 2 minutes after finishing eating and be forced to used them.

    au revoir d-hall!!!!

    Andre Nation off the team….

Good luck in your future endeavors, Mr. Nation.

More upset about D-Hall being removed than Andre Nation…

A lot of the shots in the video are of Festival and E-Hall 🙂

Yo thanks for the shout out Rob. I had to pay my respects to the truest dining hall in the land.

I appreciate the love there Zacky boy, but I was actually wearing a Syracuse sweatshirt in the beginning of the video. Shout out to New York. Unfortunately I don’t have a JMU jersey. Any recommendations on which sport I should choose? And while I have nothing against polo, I was sporting a Patagonia fleece throughout the video. I’d ask you to go to Dhall with me, but I don’t know if your love is tru. 😉

Paddy, I get upset when someone who makes a video dedicated to his alma mater’s dining hall can’t even rep their alma mater in the video. Makes us look small time.

I’ll give you credit for having balls though, putting that out there. And your rhyme game is like Sex Panther, 60% of the time it works every time.

Yes indeed Jeff, those Dhall splats will getcha. And to answer your question, I was standing on top of the grace street parking deck which is across from P.C. Dukes. None of the shots were taken in Festival or Ehall. They were taken in a new building called the Student Success Center. 100% of the shots taken were on Dhall’s side of campus including my freshman dorm, Hoffman Hall.

Zac…Seriously Jerseys are for gamedays. Only people affiliated with Virginia Tech would wear a Jersey as non-Saturday clothing. Polo and Patagonia fleeces are perfectly acceptable JMU/southern attire. Why don’t you just tell him to do the video in a denim shirt….Quit hating

Hot Lips Nuggets were the best.

LOL, I’m glad Paddy got his freshmen girlfriend to defend him.

Regardless of the day, I will always have an issue of him wearing another college’s logo, ESPECIALLY in a video about JMU.

And I have nothing but love for Polo and Fratagonia, and wear both frequently. But I’m not putting out rap videos.
