Gamed Open Thread: JMU vs. Elon

There’s a whole lot of excitement (distractions?) surrounding the JMU football the past few days. But now it’s time to play some football. The Dukes face an Elon team that will be primed and ready to pull off an upset in front of a raucous homecoming crowd Todd. Kickoff is set for 3:00 and you can watch it over on CAA.tv. JMU needs this one to get to 7-0 and carry some momentum into next week’s big home game.  Consider this your official open thread for all pre-game, in-game, and post-game chatter. Go Dukes! Keep Rootin’!

Well, this streaming absolutely blows. Guess I’ll be following the game cast. Roll Damn Dukes!

Is the streaming even working at all? I’m getting an error message

Where did Elon find these clowns doing the play by play? “Uh…..um…..elon…. to pass…. uhh….”

  5. Rob / Oct 17 2015

Dukes getting it done. Memphis did it’s part. Now I need to hold my nose and cheer for Bama.

Anyone else laugh when they play the CAA commercial that says “its always a close game” while we’re up by 34….sorry….41.

Been watching FCS/1AA for a very long time- anyone who thinks there are 4 teams in the country better than JMU are on drugs.

How about when they were sort of talking up Elon’s advantage in time of possession? Do they not realize it’s because it takes JMU about 35 seconds to score.

    Looks like ELON might score
    Watch the QB !

Ok JMU lives to run up the score but at this point why not take Vad out of the game so he doesn’t get a cheap shot and may be out for a game or more????
Let the backup QB get some playing time
Does Vad really need more stars ????

Agreed Hammy. And it’s nice to see that the coaches finally do too. Backups in to play this one out.

Two out of the three most critical steps complete. Roll Tide to close it out.

Just taking a glance on the Gameday Facebook page. JMU and Richmond fans are hounding them. I like it, but I hope it doesn’t turn them off of coming. To me, it should show how excited the area would be about them coming.

“…and JMU hangs on to defeat Elon….51-0”

“They might throw a short pass…uh…or…uh run some more running plays”

Boy do I appreciate Curt Dudley…

Special teams, guys, special teams…4 teams upcoming that could possibly make them important.

Well done, gentlemen! A chance to go 8-0!
