Looks like you guys are already chalking this one up as a loss (6-5).
UMass 27
JMU 21
JMU 31 (magic number this year) UMASS 16
Will UMass be able to shut down Thorpe and the running game? That’s going to decide this game, because our passing game is just as bad as before.
JMU 24
UMass 17
I’ll go with no, only because Thorpe is well rested and healthy. This late in the season everybody is beat up, and he will have an edge having missed 5 games this year.
JMU will fall behind early in the first half, but rally out of desperation and the natural fury of Mickey Matthews later in the game. Thorpe fumbles once, put surprises the UMass defense with an uncharacteristically competent passing game.
DUKES 21
UMass 17
JMU 16
UMASS 14
One Thorpe rushing TD and three Starke FG’s.
We haven’t lost yet! (6-4). Dukes 24, umass 21
JMU 27, UMass 20
JMU is going to be down at half 13-0 and come back to make it into the FCS playoffs!
JMU looked good last weekend. Their good-for-nothing secondary had a few picks. Thorpe and DQ were dialed-in as far as running the ball is concerned. Thorpe showed signs of genius with respect to his passing abilities before he went Ricky Williams on us.
JMU: 20
UMass: 10
UMass wins a tough one….24 – 23
JMU 28 Umass 24
JMU 26
UMass 20
With their tough schedule, facing so many ranked opponents(though some aren’t ranked now) I say JMU gets in with a win. We beat Liberty (at LU), Richmond, and WM, while losing close against ODU and Maine (in a funky final play in OT). This is why FCS is more fun at times especially with their expanded playoffs.
28 -14 Duuuukes
Thorpe to go undefeated in FCS play.
17-10 good guys
I’m believing they have it in them to play really well this week. UMass has good players but has been uneven. JMU 30, UMass 14.
Sean takes it for the second time this year. Check your email.
