Is This the Best JMU Sports Photo Ever?

Blv67jsCcAAUI_uYes. Yes it is the best JMU sports photo. It’s one of the coolest photos we’ve ever seen. It comes to us courtesy of JMU Athletics Communications and was posted to JMUsports.com’s 2014 JMU Track & Field JMU Invitational Photo Gallery. The event took place on April 19 and JMU did quite well, winning 6 events. It’s always great to see JMU athletes excel. The day’s big winner has to be whomever shot this photo though, because wow. Well done anonymous photographer from JMU Athletics Communications. Well done.

Agreed. But slightly sad these are the kinds of things we get excited about regarding athletics.

Only thing is…we’re not winning in the photo.

We’re just going to assume the girls in gold are about to lap their white shirted opponent.

    Let me guess…
The girl in front is from ODU…
and we’re trying to catch up to her!

Excellent photo. Would be surprised if it is not Cathy Kushner’s work.

Where was the coverage on Christy Morgan returning to JMU? JMU’s only national championship in any sport under Morgan.

    RIPAshby-

“JMU’s only national championship in any sport under Morgan.”

    I believe you are mistaken.

guess i should have specified division 1 non fcs crap division no one cares about.

Well to RIP Ashby, I cared alot about it at the time the football team was winning it and still take pride in the fact they won a national championship. Good for field hockey that they won as well but more people learned of JMU here in Ohio from the FCS football championship than they did from a field hockey championship. No real reason to diminish either one just because FCS football is losing some status and we are thinking of moving up in classification.
