Our CAA Bloggers Poll Entry for the Week

It was another rough week for the Dukes, but all is not lost. Thanks to Drexel’s solid play of late, we’re spared from having to give George Mason the top spot on our ballot for the CAA Bloggers Poll. Our entry for this week is below. The full results will be posted to VCU Ram Nation later this week.

1. Drexel – Won 2 games they were expected to win (=due for a loss Wednesday, right?)
2. GMU – Bounced back from loss to Delaware with a great win against ODU. Still hate them.
3. VCU – Closed out 2 tough games, but didn’t do enough to get bumped up in my opinion
4. ODU – Expected the great defense and rebounding, but didn’t expect them to shoot this well
5. Georgia State – 2 comfortable wins over weaker teams
6. Delaware – Plenty of offensive talent, but a squarely middle of the pack team
7. Northeastern – No shame in losing to Drexel or VCU, but it still gets you dropped
8. UNCW – Can’t stop anyone on defense
9. Hostra – Better than the 3 teams below. That’s about all we can say about Hofstra.
10. JMU – Need Semenov, Humpty, and Davis to all play lights out to win any game. Can’t seem to get more than 2 of them to do it.
11. W&M – Marcus Thornton earned CAA Rookie of the Week and he went 2-10 Saturday against UNCW. That should tell you how good he was against VCU last Wednesday.
12. Towson – Love the effort, but they don’t have the roster
